Kundalini Mediumship Practitioners
Justin Levy, LAc
When I was 6, I met a spiritual teacher (Baba Muktananda) who would change my life. He started an ongoing process of connecting me to my spirit, or kundalini. The kundalini is an energy trapped inside all of us, walled off by our traumas, karma, and defense mechanisms. I credit the strength of his spirit with providing me the fuel to start my process of healing.
After a period of time, I stopped working with Muktanda’s organization. I soon met my second primary teacher Almiro Aquilino Dos Santos. Almiro is a mestre (master) of the martial art of capoeira. Through him I began to learn more about how to work with spirit, which is called axé (ah-shay) in Brazil . He also opened the door for me to work with his spiritual tradition in Brazil (called candomblé).
My third primary teacher is a master healer, musician, composer and ceremonial leader. From him I learned about mediumship and how to hold a ritual container among many other things.
I took what I learned from my main teachers (as well as many others) and synthesized it into a system I call Kundalini Mediumship. Developing this system is a manifestation of my ongoing dialogue with spirit. This has been incredibly challenging for me! I am inherently anti-structure and anti-authority, and so pushing on this edge has been a wonderfully difficult aspect of my personal growth.
